Liz Benjamin of the NY Daily News broke the story a few days ago about the Senate Democrats offering a few plum committee chairmanships to members of the GOP.   Liz and Ken Lovett, the Albany Bureau Chief of the NY Daily News join me today to discuss why this plan is being floated, and what it means.  

The Governor is delaying payments to localities – payments that have already been approved by another equal branch of government:  The Legislature.   Does he have the right to do this?  James Madore of Newsday will share some of the key legal points he discovered while researching the issue.
