One group’s analysis of Governor Cuomo’s budget indicates the Governor “has made a serious mistake and (he) must correct the state aid cut formula with his 30 day amendments”. The group is the Statewide School Finance Consortium. We speak with Executive Director Dr. Rick Timbs about the issue.
On Friday, Senate Democrats rallied behind the Governor’s proposed overhaul of the state’s juvenile justice program. One of those Senators is ranking member and former Chair of the Senate Committee on Children and Families, Velmanette Montgomery D-Brooklyn. Senator Montgomery details the flaws in the system from the point of view of her constituents.
