The Capitol Pressroom Program for July 29, 2010
Last night’s session was many things to many people – one thing it was NOT was productive. They are currently in session today trying to hammer out disagreements such as SUNY empowerment. In fact, chancellor nancy zimpher was at the Capitol today meeting with legislators to push the plan. Good news for Governor paterson yesterday, he won’t be facing any criminal charges in the domestic violence case involving his aide David Johnson. But Judith Kaye’s report doesn’t reflect well on him. Ellen Schell of the Legal Project will join us to discuss the investigation from the point of view of an anti-domestic violence advocate. We will talk with Carl Paladino about his decision NOT to seek a 3rd party run against Cuomo. And then we get all wonky on you with a discussion on how healthcare reform will impact us here in NY.
