Tony and Bob’s Recommended Reading List
Where do you go to find the most balanced and scientifically accurate information about horizontal, high water pressure hydrofracking in the Marcellus Shale? How do you determine which science is the most sound? Well, today we spoke with Bob Williams of Barnes-Williams Environmental Services BWES and Tony R. Ingraffea, Ph.D to figure that out. If you didn’t hear what Bob and Tony had to say, then please checkout our podcast of today’s show.

dear susan
thanks for doing such a great job of covering the fracking issue, even including references. as always, you’re a peach.
Thank you for putting Dr. Tony Ingraffia on your show; his clarity and large view analysis of this gas drilling procedure is refreshing to hear. And too, Mr. Bob Williams disclosed what he is really about and what he values, toward the end of this interview; that if other areas of the country(and by extension, the world) are made ugly, toxic, and unfit for people to live in, then too we should also do this nasty business to New York State. It is little matter to Mr. Williams that what is involved here is some of the United States’ most beautiful areas, the Finger Lakes region.

Some procedures, some technology should not be used, not be done. And if a person wants to have some view of a decent life in the future, it is necessary for this person to become informed, and be politically and socially active in promoting and advancing sane use of technology, be it dealing with energy, communications, education, health, governing.
To do nothing in this regard, is a most unhealthy state of mind and body to live in, and being healthy is more than proper diet, exercise, sleep. Also demanded of a healthy life,. is political and social involvement.
